Review 2

The content of the performances were to play modern and old famous songs. The songs weren't necessarily being covered but being interpreted in their own way using instruments such as: Guitar, Drums and Piano. Three bands performed in which the opening two bands sang both covers and originals in which they all vocalized and played instruments. The last band JCP, played a mixture of contemporary songs and old songs and played their own way using the Piano, Drums and Guitar.

The performers were successful in engaging the audience as during the ten minute breaks they would talk to audience to remind them about refreshment at the bar. Additionally, during the performance the bands were engaging with the audience as they used a lot of eye contact and moved around a lot.
The use of vocal harmony also created a sense of brightness which engaged the audience and caused them to cheer. Techniques they used to engage the audience was mainly based on their performance, for example, with the drummer, when songs came to an end drum fills were used which caused a lot of attention.

The standout moment for me was mainly when songs that were known such as: Rock star by Post Malone and Aladdin by Notes were played it stood out for me because what made it special was that it caused a lot of excitement from the audience. Also, when known songs were being played it made the whole performance special particularly with the arrangement. The difference between the bands was that since the first two bands played original music, it was difficult to show excitement over it, however, due to the harmonies and great vocals it made the performances really nice to watch.

My overall impression of the show was that it was really good and exciting because the performers were really talented and performed to the best of their ability. The show in general was a fantastic way to end the evening as all the songs played were catchy and vibrant.
