song analysis

The lyrics behind this song have a deep meaning because it is mainly about the death of Paul Walker and how his friendship with everyone has ended and that he is in a better place. They refer to him as family, which he also referred to in the Fast and Furious films. The lyrics are very slow to let them sink into the audience because they will also feel like they have lost a friend and that watching Fast and Furious 7 will help them feel a little bit better.

Charlie tends to have a switch in his normal voice and falsetto which impresses the listener because it shows dynamic in his range. Besides the fact that he varies through his range, it almost as if he tends to keep the volume of his vocals at a certain point, this is interesting as his way of singing causes the song to be more intimate and meaningful.

Also, the main riff that catches my attention is a piano arpeggio on the piano which used in the beginning of each verse. There's not many effects on the piano which makes it sound slightly dry, however, this is a good technique as the dryness effect relates back to the intimacy of the track and the tension being built up. Despite the dryness effect of the piano, the song continuously builds by adding in complex beats and layered back vocals which creates a richer and fuller sound.

Wiz Khalifa's rap is melodically catchy, as the song is very melodic and emotional, there seems to be more rhythm in the way he is rapping as he also sings in the pre chorus of the track.

farz song analysis

The song All that matters by Justin Bieber starts off with an electric guitar which is used through out the entire track, however, the guitar is clean and contains a bit of reverb which makes it sound very clean and bright. The vocals in the chorus are at a fairly low pitch in the verses but they tend to build up especially in the chorus when the singers range starts to expand.

The beats used are quiet complex as the high hats are subdivided into complex patterns. During the song we also hear an effected vocal which is pitched up to make the song sound interesting. The vocals tend to have a minimum amount of effects but contain a slight reverb, brightness and delay in every 1/2 note. The song is at a mid tempo which creates a bit of a groove as it isn't too quick or too slow.

On the second verse of the song, he uses his range in order to make a difference in the vocal melody by going higher. The effect of doing this is that first of all it shows off his higher range and secondly, it brightens up the song as the change of melody differentiates from the first verse of the song making it sound interesting.

Farz class

The song "I am me" by Sampa The Great starts off with a piano melody which lasts through an eight bar loop which sounds like a church piano, which could perhaps be an organ and there is another piano which is panned from the left to the right headphones throughout the entire song. There is an up tempo click used throughout the entire song which makes the song sound catchy.

When the chorus comes in, the vocal line changes which becomes more sang with a flow in comparison to the verses which sound as they were projected with more of a rap attitude. It's here are also harmonies in the chorus which remind me a lot of gospel type harmonies, this creates a lot of smoothness in the track. Also, when the chorus is playing, there is a drum pattern that is panned to the right ear which is quiet hard to hear. The melody is really catchy as the lyrics are rememberable and repeated.

own choice track analyse
In the song Hablame Bajito, the song starts off with a distorted vocal and a melodic beat, this instantly creates tension as the distorted vocal sounds like an Indian type vocal riff. Quantisation  was evidently used as the meldicu best as a lot of beats played in each bar. When the singers starts singing, he uses a very soft tone which causes the listener to be enageed. When the hook starts, the song comes to life as the singer uses his falsetto and a beat is introduced with a distorted vocal in the background.

The tempo is quiet up beat, however, for a typical Latin track it is slightly slower. The song is in 4/4 time signature and the track itself isn't necessarily layered by loads of vocals or instruments. Through the whole song a lead vocal is used except for the second verse which harmonies are being introduced.
